SUMMARY:UArctic Congress and Assembly 2026
DESCRIPTION:UArctic Congress 2026 and annual Assembly meeting 2026 will be held in the Faroe Islands on 26-29 May 2026. The event will be hosted by the University of the Faroe Islands. \n\nAs is UArctic’s tradition\, the themes of the UArctic Congress align with the program priorities of the Arctic Council Chairship at the time of the event. In the 2026 Congress we are therefore following the priorities set by the Kingdom of Denmark for their 2025-2027 Chairship. \n\n\nThe overall theme of the UArctic Congress 2026 is Healthy Humans and Oceans in the Arctic. Its five subthemes align with the Chairship priorities\, emphasizing an inclusive approach to sustainable development\, Indigenous engagement\, and holistic ecosystem management.
