The MarineGuardian project develops tools, technologies, and operational strategies to reduce the environmental impact of fisheries, including preventing bycatch, improving decision-making for ecosystem protection, and enhancing data use across seafood value chains. It will test these solutions through multiple case studies with fishers, managers, and policymakers to create a scalable roadmap for sustainable and economically viable European fisheries.
