MeCCAM partners contributed to the Icelandic Seafood Conference 2025 in Reykjavík, an annual event that brings together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to discuss developments shaping the future of Icelandic fisheries.
Trackwell presented Hafsýn, an AI-powered decision-support tool being developed within the MeCCAM and MarineGuardian projects. Hafsýn uses real-time data to help reduce fuel consumption, improve efficiency, and support more informed decision-making at sea.
MeCCAM was also featured in the conference’s official podcast. Elma Sif Einarsdóttir (Stika Solutions) and Sveinn Margeirsson (Brim) joined the discussion to talk about MeCCAM’s work and the increasing importance of data-driven innovation in the fisheries sector.
