MeCCAM project partners kick off a collaborative journey towards more climate-resilient fisheries

The EU project MeCCAM - Measures for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in European Fisheries – just wrapped up its kick-off meeting in the Faroe Islands.

Around 35 participants part of the transdispliniary consortium came together to discuss collaborations and interactions, beginning this exciting journey towards a more climate-resilient European small-scale and large-scale fisheries.

Highlights during the 3-day meeting include a warm welcome by Varðin on their pelagic trawler and a cosy dinner at local farmer featuring one of most famous faroese singers.
